Misty Field – 6X8 Watercolor $75
Another walk, another memory, this time down the path I walked with my dogs and eventually buried them.
There’s a dam and a waterfall nearby; a pleasant place for them to roam free. I wonder if they come running when I’m here, circling me, playfully nipping at my hands for treats, and yelping with delight as they used to do every time they saw me.
Of all my friends, I miss them the most. They were a part of me that could run when I could not, could be young when I no longer was, and maintained their innocent jubilation at existence when I had lost mine.
And my brother. I miss him too. He is also in this field, we’re all in this field. My knuckles start to ache when I think too much about it, that’s how I know it’s time to change course.
