The Heart of the Village – 5X7 Watercolor $75

Can you smell the fresh breads and coffees? I’ll bet you can.

This little cafe in the village has a pulse that grows stronger as more blood flows from the heart to the brain and back again. It’s a warm place when the windows are frosted from cold and steaming up from the heat of inner humanity. It’s a welcome and welcoming light on a dark winter night and a refreshing beverage on a hot summer day.

It’s hard to be melancholic when inside unless there is some beautiful live music aloft, pulling at the soul to pay attention and remind you of the bittersweet moments of life, and death.

I sketched this out while sitting inside, feeling self-conscious and stupid that I’d be making such a pretentious move, yet… there I sat and here it is and I’d do it again and you should too.
